First day of spring break and it snowed in Malad. I was getting jealous and wanted to go somewhere warm with everyone else. We decided to take a weekend trip to St. George until we realized Koop wasn't going to be able to take off. So instead Saturday morning we headed to Salt Lake Aquarium the kids loved all the different fish/sharks and things to see. Adi said her favorite was the Nemo and Dory, mine was the otters, and Koops was the sharks. I'm sad I forgot my camera at home, but we still had a blast!
We stayed at a hotel that had this fun little water park inside. The kids loved it. The water could have been 10 degrees warmer but once you moved around enough it wasn’t so bad. It had a little slide/kiddy area, a 3.5 foot pool, and then a 5.5 foot area, with a slide that went along the outside. Adi and Brantley just went up and down the slide over and over again.
The next morning we went swimming again after breakfast and headed out to the Zoo. We got to see all the animals, they were so active today. It was a little chilly at first and not very many people were there so it made it really nice, we could get to the front of the glass right away. There were two bears wrestling, while the other was taking a bath in the water. The orangutans were swinging, and the Gorilla was sitting up eating right in front of us. The kids thought the carousel was the coolest thing and asked to go back next week!
