Lately I have been reading all these posts, and Facebook status's about people not setting goals this year. Which, I personally think is silly. You don't have to make HUGE goals that your never going to reach, haven't you ever heard of "Smart goals" Specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, time bound?! Make goals that you think you could achieve, don't make 50 different goals, where you forget your goals, and don't make impossible goals! One or two is fine!
So let me just tell you some of our goals, we planned some personal goals and some marriage goals!
Marriage:
We want to read the Book of Mormon! A couple weeks ago I decided to make a little bookmark that would help keep us in gear. We have tried twice now and haven't got very far. So I have made this cute little hand out that is a bookmark that I see every time we read. I made two, one for us and one for my mom! (If you want one, let me know!) This picture is not very clear, but it says...
"There is a power in the book [of mormon] which will begin to flow into your lives the moment you begin a serious study of [it.] You will find greater power to resist temptation. You will find the power to stay on the strait and narrow path. The scriptures are called 'the words of life', and nowhere is that more true than it is of the Book of Mormon. When you begin to hunger and thirst after those words, you will find life in greater and greater abundance."-Ezra Taft Benson
It then goes on to January, February all the way till August!
It also has a spot for that says Temple: Our next goal is to make it there once a month!

Lacey's Personal:
I want to cook again! When we were first married I cooked all the time and then we moved to Malad and I got in the habit of not cooking. Well, now that I am graduated I feel as if I might have a little more time! So I want to cook at least 2 meals a week! AT LEAST! And not just regular meals, but try new recipes, be a little more brave with my choices.
I want to find a job I like! I recently graduated, and feel as if I shouldn't just settle for something, but find something I really like. I want to figure out what I am good at and what I really want to continue doing!
I want to care about the important things. Recently, after finishing school I got to the point were I get on my phone all the time. I just realize that social media is not going to get me anywhere, its not going to make me any cooler, its not going to teach me anything, and its going to waste my time. I need to care more about the people around me and do something useful!
I want to make our home more homely! We kind of use just all the random stuff we had together before we were married and wedding gifts but now we have been married for a year almost! I want to actually get crafty and make cute things! I recently got a Silhouette Cameo and am so excited to start using it!
